Case Study: Dordogne
The game:
Dordogne is a 3D adventure game in watercolour, released on PC and consoles in June 2023, from Un Je Ne Sais Quoi / UMANIMATION and published by Focus Entertainment.
The campaign:
On this campaign, we worked on marketing, positioning, PR and community strategy and execution.
We announced the game in April 2020, both on the PR and community fronts, including setting up a Reddit AMA which made it to the global front page and doubling the social following in a few weeks. The reveal got widespread media coverage, and The Verge and Edge Magazine published long form interview features. Dordogne also got non-gaming consumer press coverage in France, and was one of the most anticipated games by Polygon, GamesRadar+, Fanbyte and Der Spiegel ahead of its launch.
Community and social media:
We managed social media for Twitter, Tik Tok, Instagram, and Facebook with a particular focus on short-form video content. We saw great success in highlighting the gorgeous art style by creating calming, atmospheric videos. Over the campaign, we saw over 2M impressions and more than 18K new followers across the various channels.
